The Depths of the Ocean

I am the ocean 

You were just standing at the shoreline 

Just seeing the currents but never walking towards the high tides 

Did you ever think about going into the ocean? To feel the waves around you, to see where they could take you? 

Did you think you would drown?

Have you ever experienced the depths of the ocean? 

You see, the sun shined on me

Turning the cold water into warmth 

My waves are free and it goes in the direction it pleases - it has no bounds

If you had entered into the abyss of the ocean

You would find life, dreams, and beauty

But you stayed at the shoreline and now the depths of the ocean is left for another to discover.
