To Wonder

It’s when the moon shines high up in the sky 

And everyone is asleep

That your mind starts to wonder 

One thing I know for sure. 

Is that it’s hard to put your heart out there 

Because you never know who you’ll meet 

Or what wounds open back up

But when you just know the person in front of you is special, 

You just know 

And then you realize meeting was always fate 

And regardless of what happens next

You know you are one step closer to destiny
