Freedom

Embrace for what is yet to come.

Stage 1: Anger

Anger is stage one of a broken heart.

The “Whys”if you had given it your all.

The blame on yourself. The blame on the other person.

The loss in appetite even though your stomach growls.

The tears of pain running past your cheeks.

The reminiscing of what you once had was love.

Stage 2: ‘What ifs’

‘What ifs’ is the second stage of a broken heart.

What if you had done your makeup differently that day.

What if you had reminded him how your love was once.

What if you told him you can change.

What if this was just the lowest point of how great you both can become.

What if he didn’t mean what he said.

Stage 3: Hope

Hope is the third stage of a broken heart.

Hope that one day he might return.

Hope that he regrets the goodbye he said.

Hope that he comes back to say he can’t live without you.

Hope that you can repair what was broken.

Hope there’s still a future.

Stage 4: Forgiveness

Forgiveness is the fourth stage and the first step to become whole.

Forgive that he broke you into pieces.

Forgive that he made you feel as though you weren’t enough.

Forgive that he had dimmed your light.

Forgive that he never truly loved you.

Forgive that he was just being human.

Stage 5: Healing

Healing is the fifth stage and your second step to become whole.

You pick up all the pieces and put it back together.

Happiness.

Realization that you are beautiful.

Realization that you are enough.

Realization that the world is yours to uncover.

Stage 6: Begin Again

Begin Again is here.

For new beginnings. For new memories.

For your future that is bright.

For yourself.

For those around you.

For you are human that has yet to experience more love.
